Become a Volunteer Firefighter

The FAIC Volunteer Fire Department is always looking for new members. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter, there are a few things you need to do:

Be at least 18 years old
Be able to pass a physical and background check

Once you have met the basic requirements, you can contact the FAIC Volunteer Fire Department to learn more about the application process. You will need to complete an application and attend an orientation. You will also need to complete training in firefighting and first aid.

Once you have completed training, you will be a certified volunteer firefighter. You will be responsible for responding to fires and other emergencies in McIntosh County. You will also be responsible for helping to maintain the FAIC Volunteer Fire Department's equipment and facilities.

Volunteer Application Submission Waiver

I hereby acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Volunteer Application Submission Waiver ("Waiver") as a condition of my application to volunteer with the FAIC Volunteer Fire Department.

1. Assumption of Risk: I understand and acknowledge that volunteering for the FAIC Volunteer Fire Department may involve inherent risks and dangers. I voluntarily assume all such risks, both known and unknown, and I am responsible for my own actions.

2. Health and Safety: I certify that I am physically and mentally capable of performing the volunteer activities required by the FAIC Volunteer Fire Department. I agree to adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols provided by the department.

3. Release and Waiver: In consideration of being allowed to participate in volunteer activities with the FAIC Volunteer Fire Department, I hereby release and discharge the department, its officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, or causes of action related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me while participating in volunteer activities.

4. Confidentiality: I understand that I may have access to confidential information during my volunteer service. I agree to maintain the confidentiality of all such information and not disclose it to any third party.

5. Compliance with Policies: I agree to comply with all policies, procedures, and guidelines established by the FAIC Volunteer Fire Department, including but not limited to codes of conduct and ethical standards.

6. Photo and Video Release: I grant the FAIC Volunteer Fire Department permission to use my likeness in photographs, videos, or other media for promotional or informational purposes related to the department.

7. Governing Law: This Waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction]. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Waiver shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Your Jurisdiction].
